ASD Teaching Assistant jobs in Lambeth

You will be working in small classes (typically 4–8 pupils), providing 1:1 and small group support. Many students are non-verbal, so experience or understanding of PECS and Makaton is highly desirable. Some roles will involve personal care, and training in manual handling, tracheostomy care, or PEG feeding is advantageous but not essential.

You will support teachers in delivering structured lessons, adapt resources to meet individual needs, assist with daily routines and transitions, and help maintain a calm, consistent learning environment. An ideal candidate must have experience with ASD pupils, the ability to be patient, have a resilient approach and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
