You will mainly be working on the highly specialised male ASD wards. In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to service user’s diagnosis and identified needs.

You will be an integral part of a large, well established MDT with extensive experience to draw from.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team, including providing 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and global developmental delay. Strong knowledge of visual supports, PECS, and Makaton is essential to help the child communicate and access learning successfully.

You will mainly be working on the highly specialised male ASD wards. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly. The MDT wrap around the service to support the individuals in our care throughout their journey with us to capture and manage risk and relapse in community settings.

You will be working in a mainstream primary setting, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs either 1:1 or in small groups. The school is looking for someone who is approachable, patient, adaptable, and able to make learning engaging, structured, and accessible. This is a long-term opportunity with scope for progression and additional responsibility for the right candidate.
