You should have a recognised engineering qualification and/or time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering with experience working in a senior engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment and a background in preventative and reactive maintenance, with the ability to lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.

You will be part of the team looking after Jedburgh Abbey and join the existing staff in welcoming and interacting with visitors. One of the four great Abbeys established in the Scottish Borders in the 1100s, Jedburgh Abbey is famous for its beautiful Romanesque/gothic architecture.

You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running. We understand our people are our most important asset and work hard to make sure you feel valued and included as part of a team.

You will have proven team leadership skills and the ability to help lead a large team of volunteers.
