You will work closely with academic staff, researchers, and professional services to provide expert advice on research support, copyright, rights retention, and open access.

You will also lead the development of researcher skills training, manage the institutional repository (WRaP), and contribute to the strategic direction of research services.

You will be passionate about supporting students in their academic and recreational reading.

You will have the confidence and interpersonal skills to manage students using the library as a focused study space during the day and you will know or be quick to learn library management under the training of the Librarian.

You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality frontline customer focused services across the Library’s extensive opening hours. We are looking for people who can co-ordinate and supervise colleagues as well as take responsibility for the secure operation of our Library services across all library sites.

You will be working under the Library Manager to revamp and refresh our library and our library services. This role is integral to the delivery of our Open Science Roadmap and your work will be supporting the Sanger Institute’s founding principle that science is a public good.

You will be expected to take on projects and drive them forward, while also providing services to users.
