You will have excellent communication skills to listen to clients and explain the benefits they are entitled to, helping them to complete online and paper applications.

You should have an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people with support needs, the ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly and the ability to work as part of a team.

You should also have SVQ Level III in Care (or equivalent), in the absence of this - you must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification - 36 months after registration with the SSSC.

You will make a difference to our Residents at a time of their life when they may feel the most vulnerable, and they will look to you to guide and support them in life-changing decisions, which is a humbling and unbelievably rewarding part of the role.

You will understand the importance of effective communication, both verbally and written, and role model professional behaviours.
