You will provide valued ecological consultancy advice to our clients, helping to shape outcomes and maximise biodiversity opportunities on development projects. You’ll also consult with external stakeholders, work within the licensing processes and play a key part in large-scale habitat restoration projects.

You will progress and manage all aspects of creating large scale nature recovery projects - Habitat Banks. We are looking for someone to cover a 12m maternity contract, with the chance of becoming permanent at the end of the contract. You will also be addressing the required funding arrangements for public sector projects, and working alongside our engineers, ecologists, environmental scientists and other technical experts in key service areas.

You should have good project management skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to lead technical work, as well as mentor junior team members in developing their skills.

You will get the opportunity to work on a wide portfolio of projects, from nationally significant infrastructure projects to landscape scale restoration. Our portfolio of work includes flood, coastal and maritime projects and a range of other sectors such as ports, water utilities, transport and renewable power.

You will likely be Associate Director level or above.
