You will have a good technical knowledge in the primary discipline of fire safety design.

You will be IT literate with a working understanding of fire modelling software analysis tools.

You should have excellent communication skills and an interest in working in a team environment.

You will lead and support decarbonisation initiatives in transport, working with government bodies, clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You will be involved in the design process at all stages, supporting design reviews and manufacturing queries, reporting into the Technical Lead or Equipment Project Manager.

You will have the opportunity to lead on packages of work, manage deliveries and assign work to senior design engineers.

You will contribute to, and be responsible for the delivery of our services on a range of projects across a variety sectors including housing, education and commercial projects.

You must be able to work with both internal and external project stakeholders to ensure Health and Safety issues are properly addressed and managed during the project lifecycle.

You will take individual responsibility for a range of project types, manage them independently and be the clients main point of contact.

You will lead independently and proactively on technical aspects including preparing designs, specification, technical approval submissions, site supervision and will be fully conversant with industry design standards.

You will hold a minimum of a degree in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or an equivalent qualification), with alternatives such as HND/HNC supported by relevant experience. You'll bring demonstrable knowledge of military systems and operations, along with a strong understanding of security requirements.

You will be joining a busy and established team delivering quality drylining, internal fit-out and associated packages.

You will become exposed to a wide range of technical disciplines, be able to follow technical argument and be able to influence the integrity of the final product.

You will be supported in this role as part of a larger consulting team, engineers and product domain specialists. Your work at Leonardo UK will see you take the lead in solving customer problems in an agile, innovative and team-centric manner.

You will provide valued ecological consultancy advice to our clients, helping to shape outcomes and maximise biodiversity opportunities on development projects. You’ll also consult with external stakeholders, work within the licensing processes and play a key part in large-scale habitat restoration projects.
