You will characterise, optimise, scale, and validate the R&D team’s unique ophthalmic production processes, ensuring they are robust, repeatable, and scalable. As this is a completely new optical system, the role requires a high degree of creativity, along with a proactive, hands-on engineering approach to developing novel and often complex production processes.

You will have worked within multi-disciplinary teams in a projects or maintenance role with practical experience on site. Ideally in the Anaerobic digestion or biomethane sector or related process industries.

You will be proactive and happy to take ownership of tasks and contribute to the growth of the business.

You will work on complex, real-time systems that interface closely with hardware such as motion controllers, lasers, and machine-vision components. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, working across software and hardware boundaries, and contributing to robust, scalable system architectures.

You must be able to work legally in the UK. Please do not apply if you need visa sponsorship as we are currently unable to provide this.

You will assist in the design, simulation, and validation of our hardware systems. Your primary focus will be on the electronics—specifically the physical circuitry and PCB layouts that manage energy flow—distinct from the mechanical structure or control software.

You will be a reservist employed by my client which is not the same as being employed by the RAF. As a Sponsored Reservist you will be deployed in support of my client’s specific aircraft. When not required for military tasks, you will return to your civilian role with the company.

You will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, working closely with an external Systems Integrator, the finance team, senior leadership, and a team of four finance project accountants.
