You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with significant post qualification social work experience and a recognised social work qualification, plus evidence of CPD and HCPC registration.

You will use MIG and TIG welding techniques to join and shape metal components to precise specifications. Your responsibilities will include reading technical drawings, fabricating, welding and assembling the finished product. Training in certain fabrication machinery and techniques will be given.

You will complete holistic assessments, plan and coordinate services, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and independence. Your work will focus on enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential, with their voice and experience at the centre of everything you do.

You will build trusting relationships, offer early help and support, and when necessary, take decisive action to ensure children are safe and thriving. You will complete timely and high-quality assessments to understand each family’s circumstances, identify strengths, and determine the most appropriate help or intervention.

You will work directly with children and families, alongside other staff within the Directorate and partner agencies.
