You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and be able to work towards, or already hold, qualifications including PDA Supervision, PDA Medication, SVQ Level 4 and a workplace assessor award.

You will have basic IT skills, be registered with the SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme.

You will be able to clearly share 2 years experience supporting individuals who require high levels of support and are often deregulated.

You will have experience of providing detailed and accurate daily record keeping and incident reporting.

You will demonstrate creativity when engaging and establishing trust with children and young people and demonstrate sound communication and judgement.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.

You will only be paid for the hours that you work.

You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration. You will build positive relationships with the individuals you support, working closely with families and carers to ensure there is greater choice and control over how people can overcome the challenges they face, helping ensure they enjoy a fulfilled life.
