You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and a minimum of 2 years work of volunteering experience involving children.

You will be accountable and responsible for the clinical and professional leadership of the Band 5 Community Nurse and be adaptable, resourceful, professionally accountable and confident to work without the resource of a hospital at hand.

You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and monitoring of the quality of health care within the community across the life span.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service. This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

You should also possess strong general skills in your specialty practice along with a GMC Registration. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with colleagues to provide exemplary care to the patient group.
