computational designer jobs in Birmingham

You will work in a small multidisciplinary team to develop exciting new electronic products for a wide range of applications, including medical devices, wearables, and the Internet of Things.

You will be responsible for associated operational administration, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement (including future accreditation by relevant professional institutions where appropriate).

You will also line‐manage a number of lecturers for the programme/modules.

You will teach KS3–KS5, delivering engaging lessons that develop strong programming skills, computational thinking, algorithm design and digital literacy. The school’s vibrant extracurricular programme includes digital competitions, robotics teams, e-sports groups, and Sixth Form tech pathways.

You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, that will equip students with an understanding of database systems, internet technologies, data, cyber security, networking, and business information systems.

You will undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.

You will challenge advanced language models on topics such as computer architecture, hardware design, embedded systems, IoT, networking, distributed systems, hardware security, and operating systems—documenting every failure mode to harden model reasoning.
