You will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contribute to the Council’s strategic objectives for a safe and sustainable highway network. Day-to-day of the role: - Prepare and process TROs in accordance with legislation and Council procedures. - Develop designs for TRO-related schemes, including signage and road markings, ensuring compliance with design standards.

You will also implement strategies for the Council’s use of social and digital media channels and support senior officers to maximise engagement and reach.

You will help improve the Council’s digital presence and user experience, ensuring content is accurate, accessible and customer focused.

You will have access to training and support for continued professional development. This role requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), if you are not yet registered, you can still apply, as long as you are willing to apply for registration within 3 months of starting with us and be registered within 6 months.

You will work as the Principal Planning solicitor in the Council's Legal Services Team (where team members work together to provide a comprehensive legal services to colleagues throughout the Council covering and supporting each other).

You will also have the opportunity to provide significant input to the development and implementation of our legal compliance policies and procedures. Your experience of handling Housing queries including litigated proceedings whilst prioritising a full personal caseload of legal matters/cases within these areas of law will put you in good stead for success in this role.

You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.

You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
