You will contribute to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care Service as part of an integrated team responsible for safeguarding, support planning, and promoting the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs.

You will collect your allocated vehicle or trolley and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the letters and parcels to your local community.

You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.

You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights.

You will be working at a specialist locked rehabilitation for females with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge.

You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

You will also support nursing staff to complete urgent assessments, empowering service users to take a lead role in their own care and supporting self-determination. To carry out assigned duties, involving supporting and signposting service users, family, carers and other professionals under the guidance and indirect supervision of a qualified nurse.

You will receive 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (this will be pro‐rata for part‐time contracts). Our Learning and Development team can support you to receive 100% funding for your Level 3 SVQ /NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.
