You will join the firm as a Tax Director based from their Taunton offices where you will oversee compliance and also take a lead on the provision of complex tax planning and advisory service delivery across a wide spectrum – personal, corporate, or mixed tax planning, moulded to suit around the career background and areas of expertise of the right professional.

You will work with the discipline lead to set strategic direction and to help deliver the Environmental Assessment Training Academy, a funded learning programme intended to enhance capability and capacity in the business.

You will work alongside our existing practitioners and champion further growth and capability strengthening.

You will take on the responsibility for a portfolio of clients and look to lead on the delivery of planning and tax advisory work across corporate structuring, restructuring, re-organisations, succession planning and strategies and wide range of other project work.

You must also provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. An experienced nurse, you'll have worked in a care home environment and are a confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses.

You will lead a multi-skilled engineering team, driving innovation, safety and continuous improvement across the design and delivery of engineered-to-order machinery. You will be ideally qualified across any of ACA/ACCA/CTA etc and have specialised in VAT operating around the VAT Manager levels.

You will prepare tax returns for individuals and review more junior staff work, providing guidance and support to their development.

You will be qualified ATT and/or CTA, or studying for ATT/CTA, or with significant experience in personal tax compliance, gained within an accountancy practice environment as a Personal Tax Senior or similar level professional

You will work on varied tax planning and advisory projects and this could encompass researching and advising on business sales, acquisitions, R&D, CGT and tax advice for shareholders, inheritance tax and succession planning as just some examples.
