You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.

You will be working as part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager. It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for “total patient” care in the perioperative phase.

You will be based at the Wiltshire Hospice and work across Wiltshire in the homes of the children we look after.

You will have the ability to work both in a team and independently and work using your own initiative as well as accessing and contributing to the skill base of the wider team.

You will deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate care needs in partnership with each resident, their key carers, family members and the wider team at the home, as well as liaising effectively with GPs, hospitals and external agencies.

You will be a qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse and currently registered with NMC.

You will provide continuous 1:1 nursing care, medication management, monitoring of chronic conditions and coordination with local doctors and clinics.

You will be part of a supportive team doing all sorts of things – from security and searches at the gate, to managing deliveries, supervising visitors, and monitoring phone calls and CCTV. It’s a varied and active job involving tasks which combine some desk duties with more physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and walking to escort vehicles across the prison grounds.

You will provide clinical support to the ECT Team, working closely with all team members, sharing skills and information, viewing the clinic as one part of the continuum of care and facilitating opportunities for patients to benefit from, whilst maintaining and improving standards of practice in ECT.
