You will be involved in the following activities: - Planning and undertaking ecology surveys including Phase 1, UKHab habitat surveys and protected species surveys (badger, otter, bat, great crested newt, etc). - Preparation of tenders and a range of ecological deliverables including; Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, EIAR chapters and Habitats Regulations Appraisals.

You will conduct significant survey work on site, particularly for bats, while also handling office tasks such as data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Ecology and relevant experience in ecological consultancy. This role offers a blend of fieldwork and teamwork, contributing to various ecological projects across the UK.

You will be engaged upon an extensive portfolio of ecology schemes for construction and development projects which includes both standalone ecology projects and work for our internal clients.

You will provide valued ecological consultancy advice to our clients, helping to shape outcomes and maximise biodiversity opportunities on development projects. You’ll also consult with external stakeholders, work within the licensing processes and play a key part in large-scale habitat restoration projects.

You will work on a diverse workload delivering projects for the public and private sectors across the UK including exciting infrastructure and renewables projects.

You will lead on a range of EIA projects within a consultancy environment and provide advice on EIA Regulations and produce Environmental Statements.

You will be technically competent, with an in-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation and survey techniques with advanced field skills in one or more specialist areas as well as holding protected species licences.

You will also hold a clean, valid UK driving licence and have your own car / access to a car which will be insured for business use.
