You will ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project. You will be responsible for the design delivery of substation plant, equipment, and protection systems across a whole range of electrical infrastructures as well as new connection projects in both the distribution and transmission sectors.

You will achieve this ensuring the detailed preparation and delivery of functional specifications, equipment schedules and associated scheme drawings.

You will take ownership of tasks, ensuring high-quality outputs within tight deadlines, while adapting to changing scopes and client demands. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proven experience in performing engineering calculations to validate designs and ensure compliance with technical standards.

You will be focusing on supporting the team in enabling works phase of the overhead lines sites prior to tower assembly and erection.

You will be contributing to the increased network capacity required to deliver the UK government's pathway to 2030 and the transition to net zero.

You will deliver civil and structural engineering solutions across all project stages, ensuring compliance with stringent safety, security, and quality standards. This is an ongoing contractor role supporting multiple high-profile projects.

You will be based in my client's Glasgow office, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver best-in-class engineering solutions.

You will be a confident technical leader with strong experience in UK transmission and distribution substation design, combined with excellent communication and people management skills.
