You must ensure that all members of your team (including agency workers) are trained in all aspects of their role. This includes, all machinery, health and safety, and all relevant work instructions. You will also engage and manage external contractors and suppliers, ensuring the right support is in place for planned and reactive maintenance activities. A key part of the role is diagnosing recurring issues through root cause analysis, implementing sustainable fixes, and contributing to the strategic development of our paper machines.

You will lead a team of around 67 engineers, manage a substantial £21m R&M budget, and design what Engineering will look like over the next 23 years, and into the future - including structure, roles, systems and processes.

You will be accountable for engineering standards, maintenance excellence, asset management, statutory compliance, supplier relationships and long-term investment planning.
