You will also have experience, knowledge and good understanding of ecological and hydrological aspects on construction sites, along with the following: • Educated to a degree level in a relevant environmental discipline is essential. • In-depth knowledge of current and developing environmental legislation is essential.

You will be part of a team that includes technical environmental specialists and design colleagues, directing and leading environmental inputs to project designs and assessments, and improving environmental performance across a diverse range of projects.

You will design, assess, and manage water and drainage systems across a variety of projects, including flood risk assessments, surface water management, and sustainable drainage design.

You will collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver sustainable, evidence-based outcomes for clients in both the public and private sectors.

You will be required to undertake a key role in a broad range of drainage design schemes for Council and Water Company projects. There will be a strong emphasis on flooding and environmental improvement projects incorporating SuDS. As well as delivering the drainage design, you will be responsible in supporting the leadership and development of our drainage capability.
