Environmental Technical Officer jobs in Macclesfield

You will develop and implement pollution‐prevention strategies, drive compliance and technical excellence, set goals and deliver high‐quality outputs, and build internal and external partnerships with specialised bodies and advisory councils.

You will specialise in the development of geospatial data, its visualisation, analysis and processing, alongside management of the council’s consultation and engagement platform.

You will then provide support to customers, advice of compliance of ingredients/raw materials, completion of new material/customer questionnaires and research/impact assess regulatory developments relevant to the personal care/cosmetic market. This role would be ideal for a chemical regulatory professional who has experience with chemical hazard communication (SDS authoring, labels etc).

You will engage with tenants to ensure the smooth delivery of required works in terms of time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will also be required to independently manage contractors and consultants, lead on project delivery from scoping through to completion and ensure compliance with legislative standards including HHSRS, Decent Homes, and Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation).

You will work closely with engineers and clients across the UK, US, and Europe, supporting projects from initial enquiry through to completion. This company is a notified body that provides compliance testing and training on a wide range of machinery across the UK and Europe.

You will be working as part of a small, close-knit team that produces work to a high standard whilemaintaining a relaxed and friendly working environment.

You will be based at our office in Macclesfield and will spend some of your timevisiting clients property with occasional overnight stays away.

You will be required to carry out an enhanced DBS check for this position. Please note - this role is home based however, as you will be travelling between customer sites you will need to be a commutable distance to Macclesfield.
