You will hold a degree in engineering, computer science or have equivalent experience.

You will contribute to the development and support of distributed control systems for Diamonds photon beamlines and experimental stations. This includes tasks like requirements gathering, software design, development, documentation, and commissioning new solutions.

You will hold a CQI Practitioner (or equivalent) certification, as well as a Science/Technology/Engineering qualification.

You will have experience in the following areas: - Developing and implementing Quality Management Systems. - Applying IT solutions to Quality management.

You will play a key role in the mechanical design and structural integrity assessment of components critical to the Diamond-II upgrade, including high-precision accelerator and beamline systems.

You will have a degree in a relevant STEM subject, or you will demonstrate equivalent working experience.

You will manage the ID group to ensure the detailed design, specification, procurement, installation, operation, maintenance and future development of permanent magnet, electromagnetic and cryogenic IDs.

You will have a degree in Physics or Engineering, ideally with a PhD in a related discipline, and have experience of managing a team.
