You will be a mechanically biased engineer with experience working in manufacturing / factory environments, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline. You will be designing solutions for complex challenges that will meet and exceed user requirements. Responsibilities will include: - Take responsibility for the leadership and delivery of whole, or significant sub-components, of technical consulting projects and products.

You will initially be focussed upon providing geotechnical services on our United Utilities frameworks.

You will also provide geotechnical design services for other water sector clients such as Severn Trent Water and Yorkshire Water and for our development clients such as Harworth Estates, Homes England and the MOD.

You will hold a degree in geology or similar.

You will have project management (PM) skills and experience to deliver a ground investigation project through the entire project life cycle (proposal, contract, implementation and close out).

You will take responsibility for deliverables, financial performance and client relationship management.

You will work independently and proactively on technical aspects from a projects inception, determining client briefs, to the delivery and close out of projects in accordance with best practice.

You will support the delivery of projects both technically as well as support junior colleagues throughout the delivery of projects, including client facing roles.

You will provide advice to clients and will take responsibility for managing and cultivating client relationships and securing new work.

You should be able to lead, or demonstrate the competency to lead, a team of less experienced staff as you may have line management responsibility.
