You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.

You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like “testing robots”, combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.

You will build and calibrate detailed hydraulic models of water distribution networks to simulate water flow, pressure, and network performance under various operational conditions.

You will have demonstrable knowledge/experience in hydraulic engineering/fluid mechanics, including knowledge of some hydraulic analysis software such Hades, Varism or Flow 3D.
