You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.

You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like “testing robots”, combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.

You will have demonstrable knowledge/experience in hydraulic engineering/fluid mechanics, including knowledge of some hydraulic analysis software such Hades, Varism or Flow 3D.

You will also have experience of reviewing technical content and mentoring junior staff. Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of putting people first, client focus and service excellence.

You will ideally have experience working with hydraulic hoses and candidates from similar backgrounds such as plant maintenance, HGVs or agricultural machinery are encouraged to apply.

You will be involved in full lifecycle design, including specification, concept generation, detail development, procurement, build, installation and commissioning support.

You will maximise reliability and quality of the production line whilst ensuring conformity with machinery safety regulations.
