You will be working with internal and external stakeholders as well as working within engineering function, build and operations. You will be working alongside industry leading experts, undertaking safety assessments for material applications in the design of Nuclear Submarines. The team play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of submarines which requires involvement in all aspects of the design.

You will be joining a small team of 7 members and supporting both SSNA and Dreadnought Programmes.

You will engage with System owners, legislation team, sustainability department as well as customers. Within this role there will be opportunities for further training and career progression.

You will engage regularly with industrial partners and liaise with specialists to agree technical solutions that contribute to the success of our programmes.

You will be responsible for a range of submarine structures, from major pieces of equipment, such as the pressure hull to minor pieces of equipment such as seats.
