You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the service. This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

You must also register with the SSSC as a Support Worker within three months of appointment.

You should have a good general standard education including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy and hold a SCQF level 5 qualification - e.g. SVQ2, NC or PDA in relevant subject area or where this qualification is not held be willing to achieve it within 3 years of taking up post.
