You will be responsible for: - Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process. - Conducting remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom - Participating collaboratively in peer MDT diagnostic discussions, supported by senior clinicians where needed

You will contribute to facilitating teaching and learning within our Speech and Language Therapy programme within the Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver quality teaching on a range of theoretical and clinical modules, and assess and provide feedback on student assignments.

You will be supported to develop these skills through competency training. The post holder may undertake lone working (sometimes within a patients own home) in line with Trust Policy. Formal knowledge and experience Formal qualifications and experience expected of a new candidate (see person specification).

You should be confident in managing a caseload independently, assessing and treating patients with a wide range of neurological communication and swallowing difficulties including MND, Parkinson's, stroke, MS, dementia etc.

You will facilitate therapeutic group sessions to help individuals improve their speech and communication skills.

You will build rapport with service users, encouraging their engagement and empowering their recovery.

You will utilize your specialist skills to manage complex cases, considering cultural and linguistic differences, and develop appropriate strategies for caseload management.

You will be joining an experienced and highly motivated team in Dewsbury. Pay rate ranging between £17.00 - £22.00 P/H per hour depending on experience. The SLT we are looking for will have previously worked with pediatrics in a clinical placement. They will be encouraging, supportive, and understanding of the varied patient needs they may encounter.

You will conduct structured observations and developmental history interviews, contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions, and produce accurate, evidence-based clinical reports.

You will provide clear, compassionate feedback to families, deliver clinical supervision where applicable, and work efficiently to meet service KPIs.
