You will be joining a great team that predominantly work with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. Therefore, a desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary!

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

You will be required to support class teachers and early years practitioners to deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences. Key responsibilities include supporting children with learning activities, promoting positive behaviour, assisting with personal care where required, and helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

You will be highly motivated to support students with special needs inside and outside the classroom to make progress and fulfil their potential. Prior experience of working with ASD learners is desirable but not essential. If you have a positive attitude and commitment, we will support you to develop your career in this specialist area working with a strong team.

You will need a DBS on the update service or be willing to pay £63.70 for a new DBS if you do not have one for us to be able to place you in a school.
