You will carry out a variety of delegated clinical interventions, contribute to holistic care planning, and support the smooth running of the home during night hours. Your expertise will help ensure residents receive continuous, high-quality care that promotes wellbeing, dignity, and independence.

You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support.

You will have the confidence to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to develop as a skilled practitioner.

You will need to be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative, have a drive and resilience for what is often a demanding role; and you must be people-centred with good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils.

You will be working with a minimum staffing ratio of 2:1. This ensures the safety of a young service user, as well as protecting staff.

You will need to be able to identify and report any safeguarding issues that may arise in relation to the young person, as well as aiding in their development and keeping them on track.

You will provide person-centred care, encourage independence, and help individuals achieve their personal goals, whether that’s gaining confidence in daily living skills, accessing the community, or pursuing hobbies and activities they enjoy.
