You will take ownership of defended arrears litigation once matters escalate beyond pre-action recovery, acting as both a hands-on fee earner and a technical lead, supporting junior colleagues and driving cases through to resolution or trial where required.

You will take responsibility for a busy and varied caseload of 60+ defended debt and property-related litigation files, including:

You will be responsible for establishing a strong relationship with new prospects as well as maintaining a strong relationship with existing accounts.

You will target lawyers at law firms and in house counsel at corporate businesses & should have previous experience of selling into the legal industry.

You will be responsible for a varied property litigation caseload to include contract disputes, property litigation, debt recovery, contentious probate, boundary disputes and landlord and tenant matters. The firm offer a structured career path, ongoing training and a friendly and supportive team.

You will be acting for local and regional businesses (SMEs through to larger corporates) on a diverse range of B2B and B2C recoveries, both routine and complex matters. The role requires not less than 3 years' experience and someone who will enjoy managing client relationships and mentoring/supervising less experienced colleagues.

You will also prepare cases for hearing, instruct counsel when necessary, and attend hearings as appropriate. Administrative support will be provided as required, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality fee-earning work and client care.
