You will have a strong mechanical engineering aptitude and or qualification either through an engineering apprenticeship and or Engineering Degree.

You will be keen to learn and undertake a practical role. Due to the high complexity of the role, standby or on call may be required. Job requirements and experience 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at 4/C or above including Science, Maths and English. Willing to learn and develop. Able to work at height.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.

You will also carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments.

You will be the focal point for project delivery and responsible for the planning and delivery of the day-to-day activities required to provide the agreed services.

You will work closely with the Offshore and UK&I O&M teams as well as other RES departments including HSE, Technical and Engineering.
