You will be competent in providing the necessary care and advice to the women under your care depending on their needs and carry out total midwifery care during the whole period of admission.

You will work as a member of the team providing maternity care to women/birthing people within the hospital and community. The post holder will deputise on the ward or department in the absence of the senior midwife. In the community setting you will take responsibility for coordinating the care pathways and participate in the on call service to provide a homebirth service.
