You will have a PhD (or equivalent experience), have co-written successful grant applications and have a portfolio of research outputs.

You will have demonstrable experience leading research and engagement activities that span academic, national and local policy, and public audiences.

You will primarily conduct in vitro experiments using molecular biology and gene‐editing techniques, as well as proteomics, in primary and immortal human cell lines and archived mouse tissue samples. The goal of this grant is to investigate melanoma initiation and niche cross‐talk in different contexts.

You will hold MRCP or equivalent and will have completed general professional training. It is expected that you will already hold a higher research degree (MD/PhD), but in exceptional circumstances a talented candidate may be appointed without this qualification, with progression dependent on successful completion of this qualification in the first few years of the post.

You should possess a BSc in biomedical science and/or an equivalent level of histology experience. It is essential to have experience of immunohistochemistry, and digital image analysis. Experience of working with human tissue in the application of the above techniques is desirable.
