You will be responsible for developing a range of exciting and innovative R&D projects.

You will be an essential member of the R&D team, delivering cutting-edge engineering projects, pioneering industry-leading technology, and working in an agile engineering team requiring a multiskilled approach whilst ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

You will shape the core technical direction of A1 - model selection, training strategy, infrastructure, and long-term architecture.

You will have full autonomy to experiment with frontier models (LLaMA, Mistral, Qwen, Claude-compatible architectures) and build new approaches where existing ones fall short.

You will also mentor junior engineers and support the Lab Manager with project planning, test suite updates, and resource allocation. What you’ll be doing - Lead product development and validation testing on products, prototypes, and components, ensuring tests are robust, repeatable, and aligned to company requirements.
