You will work in our market which is predominantly focused on delivering engineering and waste management projects for clients within the Nuclear Decommissioning sector, with some projects focused on other stages of the nuclear lifecycle.

You will join an existing civil/structural team and be responsible for the delivery of complex design packages for key nuclear clients.

You will help ensure our projects meet the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. We offer flexible working arrangements (a mix of office-based and home working). This role can be based in Harwell, Rotherham, Cumbria or Birchwood. Key Responsibilities

You will manage teams of Leads, Engineers, and Technicians often across various locations to ensure commissioning work is executed to meet legal, regulatory and project requirements. People management and leadership are key elements of this role as you will set and approve delivery plans as well as manage work progress and performance and, where appropriate, take the necessary corrective actions.

You will take ownership of managing external design consultants, driving technical compliance and ensuring all design outputs align with programme, contract and client requirements. The position acts as the technical focal point for the project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider engineering teams.

You will be working on a wide and exciting variety of projects to deliver sustainable designs in energy (wind, solar, hydro, hydrogen and energy storage), water treatment and distribution, waste water and industrial systems. What we’re looking for: Ability to interpret and produce detailed design documentation.

You will be responsible for overseeing the timely execution and completion of both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project.

You will have ownership, responsibility, and accountability for the project, highlighting project risks, identify opportunities and mentor the continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve efficiencies.
