You will manage the departmental process to meet all appropriate performance metrics including HS&E, Quality, Cost and Delivery, ensuring the production of quality product to the design specification. Managing the overall department performance in line with company targets. Responsibility for a departmental headcount of over 100 employees, working a mix of shift patterns.

You will also have the opportunity to utilise advanced analytics to drive efficiency, including digital twin technology and robotic process automation, through rotational assignments. This role offers flexible working arrangements, with options for hybrid or remote work.

You should be comfortable with the interpretation of analytical data e.g. NMR, HPLC, GC, FTIR and DSC. As Sterling is a contract development and manufacturing organisation, project assignments will be varied in nature and will always include hands-on laboratory work. Strong scientific reasoning, problem solving skills and flexibility are required in order to manage complex challenges.
