You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers, ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standard and supporting the wider business with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

You must be willing to get your hands dirty in a heavy plant environment and not be averse to training and developing your skills. If you’re qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or freshly out of an apprenticeship and have experience in any of the following, please apply; welding, bearings, shafts, lathes, mills, motors, pumps, belts, chain drives etc.

You will become an expert on the machinery and support your colleagues to produce high quality results.

You will be hands-on with the day to day operations of our manufacturing site; operate various factory machinery, equipment and forklifts whilst ensuring high levels of health and safety at all times.

You will be involved in a variety of projects on site and be the focus from an electrical point of view process improvement on site. Ongoing training and support within this highly focused group will give the right candidate an opportunity to progress into larger roles within this long-standing group.

You will work either on a rotating shift pattern covering mornings and afternoonsKey Responsibilities * Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of machinery and equipment. Respond promptly and professionally to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
