You will line manage the teaching team and with support, may deliver some teaching yourself as part of the role.

You will report to a head of curriculum and engagement and will work closely with them and other managers to bring about improvements and overcome day to day challenges.

You will be working with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been placed into the care system for numerous reasons with an array of disorders, behaviours and needs and therefore we require individuals who have the confidence, understanding, patience and skill set to successfully work with young people and make a positive impact on their lives.

You will ensure that learners receive high quality support to enable them to make good progress from their starting points. Duties include (but are not limited to): Identify and maintain focus on achievement of desired outcomes for learners across all subject areas looking at a variety of progression destinations to ensure they are preparing for and participating in suitable opportunities.

You must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality. Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict. Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
