You will embrace leading two teams: the European Union and International funded teams.

You will lead these teams in the management of their busy and complex portfolios to ensure academic and research support colleagues can deliver their research in accordance with funder terms and conditions to enable full recovery of research expenditure.

You will teach a range of actuarial courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

You must be a Fellow or Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), or hold an equivalent professional designation from another actuarial professional body.

You must have a number of years of professional actuarial experience and an interest in teaching and teaching innovation.

You will provide administrative and editorial support for the academic journal Critical African Studies, working closely with the editorial team within established processes and procedures in the day-to-day administration of the journal, including coordinating workflow for journal issues and assisting with the management of other journal projects.

You will apply, as Principal Investigator and/or Co-Investigator, to appropriate external bodies for research funding and manage grants awarded.

You will carry out Department, Faculty and/or University administrative and management functions, for example through membership of committees and engage in continuous professional development.
