Project Engineering Geologist jobs in Cheshire

You will be responsible for supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense.

You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.

You will support production operations by delivering projects that enhance and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, quality, and cost targets are met. This position is ideal for someone with strong project management capabilities, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and experience working in a production or engineering-led environment.

You will also manage sub contractor effectiveness and site progress with emphasis on right first time installation without need for revisit. Working with the Design teams and internal Functions you will ensure that accurate customer requirements (specification) are communicated to all internal and external stakeholders and maintained throughout the process.

You will produce drawings, facilitate discussions, communicate complex technical issues, and prepare civil/structural design estimates and work plan. Your recommendations will ensure designs and work plans are in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, regulations, and standards.

You will be using AutoCAD 2D to amend drawings and you will see projects through to final sign off. Applicants will to have some mechanical engineering experience and will ideally have a related engineering qualification. Candidates must have AutoCAD 2D experience and have a good understanding of engineering principles.
