You will play a key part in the end-to-end handling of public liability claims. Your responsibilities will include: - Processing and investigating claims and making informed decisions on liability - Monitoring claims from initial receipt through to resolution - Liaising with internal Council service departments to gather and prepare evidence

You will join a busy and vibrant claims handling team where you will manage your own caseload of new and existing property claims. As a Property Claims Handler you will: Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with incoming electronic instructions. Liaise with customers, clients, insurers via the telephone, email and in writing.

You will play a key part in the end‑to‑end handling of public liability claims.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload with minimal supervision

You will have a varied caseload of property litigation matters to include commercial lease renewals, residential landlord & tenant disputes including possession claims and enforcement, Section 214 Housing Act 2004 claims, disrepair disputes, HMO tenancy issues and boundary disputes

You will represent clients in County Courts and the Property Tribunal, and there will be an expectation that you conduct your own advocacy, particularly at directions and case management hearings.

You will have strong litigation experience, ideally within housing management or a related sector.
