You will be a Senior / Cost Manager within our UK Infrastructure business embedded in a client office with our teams working on a Rail project or programme. We are currently supporting Hybrid working and embrace a forward-thinking approach to working.

You will work on a rail milling train, a highly specialised on-track machine that uses precision cutting heads to remove rail defects and restore rail profile. Rail milling is cleaner and more controlled than rail grinding, producing metal swarf rather than heavy airborne dust, and requires strong capability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and safety-critical systems.

You will assist the Principal Development Control Engineer (Planning) and the Development Control; Engineer (Major Sites) with the assessment of the highway and transport implications proposed new developments in the city.

You will negotiate with developers to secure changes or improvements to the highway design or other measures to mitigate any adverse impacts of proposed new development.
