You will be supported, trained and trusted to do things properly.

You will be required to attend a training day on 26 February 2026 in Winchester

You will be given full training to register and later deliver marriage, civil partnership, citizenship and other non-statutory ceremonies, whilst working at Registration Offices and venues across our beautiful county.

You should use the Supporting Statement template (Word). 1. Can you describe a situation where you had to handle a highly emotional client? How did you manage the situation? 2. Can you give an example of a time when you had to diffuse a conflict? What strategies did you use?

You will provide clear advice and guidance to residents navigating the housing register. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. The successful candidate will be confident in updating internal systems and handling sensitive casework with accuracy and care.

You will work closely with three other Senior Registration Officers and lead a team of approx.

You will bring exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills.

You must be able to explain complex technical or legal information in a way that is easy to understand.

You will have the ability to work co-operatively with others, treat people fairly and equally and adapt your approach to secure a positive outcome.

You must possess a Level 2 qualification or equivalent (e.g., 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C) including English and Maths, or relevant experience, and excellent communication skills.
