You will guide the technical direction of safety engineering work, ensure high technical standards, and help shape how we deliver safe and effective solutions for our clients.

You will work across bids, projects, and internal initiatives to make sure our safety engineering approach is consistent, robust and aligned with our wider goals.

You will face off to UK defence customers, set technical direction, and ensure product design is fully aligned to UK airworthiness and compliance requirements, using a strong evidence-based assurance approach while maintaining agility in delivery.

You will work across UK and international engineering teams, owning technical sign-off and ensuring system integrity across the full product lifecycle.

You will manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience. Day to day, you will: Participate in / facilitate HAZID and HAZOP studies and develop Hazard Management Strategies. Author and verify radiological safety assessments, including dose calculations, risk assessments and ALARP justifications.

You will play a key role in the development, authoring and assurance of submarine safety cases and supporting safety artefacts. This includes leading and contributing to structured hazard identification and risk analysis activities, applying recognised techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA and related methods.
