You will be studying towards a Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeship, Foundation Engineering Degree (FdEng) in Mechatronics with our partners at the South Eastern Regional College in Bangor.

You will be a self-starter, able to demonstrate time management skills, working on your own, using your initiative and have a genuine interest in Engineering and Thales.

You will support in reverse engineering and deep understanding of vulnerabilities, including impact analysis and automation.

You must relish the challenge of findings critical vulnerabilities in complex software binaries through automation and manual practices. Creativity is highly valued; being able to find novel vulnerabilities is essential in this role.

You will design and implement secure network architectures, managing core Cisco technologies such as ASA firewalls, Firepower Threat Defense (FTD)/NGFW, Identity Services Engine (ISE) for NAC, Cisco+ Secure Connect, and Wireless LAN Controllers. You'll optimise DMVPN/MPLS for remote sites, evaluate SDWAN solutions, and enforce zero trust policies.

You should have strong communication skills and thrive in a collaborative environment. Essential experience: A minimum of five years in a security-focused engineering or analyst position. Strong technical grounding in system, network, and application security. Proficiency in security infrastructure such as firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.

You will be responsible for interactions with partners, third party vendors, employees, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders that require the team's services.

You will be responsible for conducting original research, threat analysis, and modelling of both industrial control systems and corporate IT infrastructure; identifying attack vectors; and supporting the development of ANGOKA's ground-breaking authentication and encryption products.
