SEMH Teaching Assistant jobs in Dorset

You will build a professional and trusted relationship with the students which put their health, safety and overall development first. This role will include supporting the teaching staff to deliver on a daily basis a broad and balanced curriculum for students both on and off site.

You will work closely with the SENCo and pastoral team to support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access learning, manage their emotions, and build positive relationships. Key Responsibilities:Provide targeted support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

You will also be required to provide 2 professional references covering at least the last 2 years, and complete our online application followed by a video or face to face interview. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships. Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children and those with social communication difficulties would be an advantage.
