You will receive support from an educational supervisor, and the wider pharmacy team, as well as peer support from other Foundation pharmacists. Successful applicants will be supported to complete the RPS Post Registration Foundation Training programme which equips pharmacists with a broad range of core skills via completion of learning outcomes, to become clinical practitioners.

You will be expert clinical practitioners responsible for providing advanced clinical skills in our Orthopaedic unit (trauma and elective), enhancing care and improving patient flow in conjunction with national standards.

You will work across Fife Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Orthopaedic trauma wards (and work alongside the Ortho-geriatric Consultant in our dedicated hip fracture ward.

You should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team, and evidence of continuing professional development. Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service, which will include shift and weekend work and rotational nights as required, with flexibility to work across all sites in Fife.

You should be able to demonstrate high quality, person-centred care and excellent teamworking. We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and is non-judgemental and compassionate.

You should have a keen interest in sexual health nursing and will be required to actively participate in personal development planning.

You will also be required to update activity within our electronic Patient Administration System appropriately, whilst providing administrative and clerical support to the Senior Charge Nurse(s) and team(s) with general clerical duties relating to day-to-day Ward/Department administration.
