You will manage a diverse portfolio of land and property, working through teams of in-house professionals and external advisors, and provide senior-level advice to elected Members, Corporate Boards and external partners. Key Responsibilities - Lead the development and delivery of a commercial asset management and development strategy, ensuring optimal use of the Council's property resources.

Key Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of a commercial asset management and development strategy, ensuring optimal use of the Council's property resources.

You will play a key role in delivering fast‑paced retail fit‑out projects from design development through to construction. This includes producing Revit‑based technical drawing packages, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring projects meet the high standards expected by major national retailers.

You will be responsible for line management of 2 x housing options officers, a temporary accommodation officer, a triage and allocations officer and housing options support officer whilst maintaining a caseload of clients.

You will have oversight of use of temporary accommodation, of all homeless cases and assist officers with points of legislation when required.

You will lead shifts, support and supervise staff, and ensure young people receive consistent, safe, and nurturing care in line with regulatory standards and the homes Statement of Purpose. Youll be hands-on, organised, emotionally resilient, and calm under pressure the kind of person who can lead from the front while keeping the environment safe, structured, and genuinely homely.
