Senior Java Software Engineer jobs in Manchester

You will play a vital role in influencing best practice, tech decisions and deliver of complex solutions & defining new features to meet the needs of our expanding customer base.

You will be an active member of your agile Scrum team from day one working with Agile methodologies and frameworks and will commit code in your first week.

You will have knowledge of software development and some exposure to mentoring junior Engineers would be a benefit.

You will be happy solving technical problems for customers even if this means working with new technologies. They have a vast array of already built products so candidates will have a lot of working product source code to help get started.

You will work across cutting‑edge platforms including Payment Networks, Digital Banking, Emerging Payments, and highly scalable data and analytics environments built on Google Cloud Platform, Data Lakes and Power BI. This role involves modern engineering, integration, testing, and hands‑on development within a high‑impact digital landscape.

You will drive strategy for your area of expertise across teams and foster a developer community within your domain. The role involves mentoring junior staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables, promoting best practices like TDD and BDD, and leading engineering practices across the SDLC.
